Hey - We use the verb "pitouey" the same way! This made me a little sad. We haven't been able to make the leap yet with Cal. Especially since both sisters use their thumbs I didn't think it was fair to make him give it up when big sis is still sucking away on her thumb... He's only ever used it in bed though so I don't have to see it too much.
You're who we got the term "pitouey" from! Brooke is also favoring the pacifyer. So I expect another binky fairy is in our future. It's actually easier to stop than thumb sucking. But every kid is going to do what's most soothing for them!
